Femnics is a modern period care brand created to reduce the physical and mental load of the menstrual cycle through thoughtfully designed products, emotionally intelligent care, and comfort-conscious materials.

Most period care focuses only on absorbency, discretion, or “blue liquid” advertising. We created Femnics because periods are rarely just physical.

FOUNDER STORY

Femnics was founded by Olateju, a nurse working across both physical and mental health care.

The idea came from personal experience with heavy periods, sensitive skin, fragrance-triggered migraines, irritation from traditional pads, and the emotional exhaustion that can come with certain phases of the cycle.

While working long nursing shifts, she realised that many period products were actually making the experience worse instead of easier. The discomfort, the synthetic feel, the constant leak anxiety, the overstimulation — it all felt unnecessarily difficult.

At the same time, period care marketing rarely reflected what menstruation actually feels like. Most brands focused on empowerment slogans or unrealistic advertising while ignoring the emotional and sensory reality of periods.

Femnics was created to bridge that gap:
care for both the body and the mind.
